Sunday Funday, Backers!

Soon, you’ll receive an email from BackerKit (and me!) with a special link to your BackerKit survey. 

(A few of you may have already gotten your surveys, because I sent a few out as an initial test :)

Please respond to your survey as quickly as you can, since I will need this information to fulfill your rewards.

Notes:

• You don’t need to create a BackerKit account to fill out your survey. 

• When you receive the email with the survey, click the survey link to respond. Answer the questions about your reward preferences, provide shipping information, and purchase add-on items if you like. • It will be coming to you soon, via email! There's no need togo looking for it.

• After you respond to your survey, you can go back later and change your responses ... but only UNTIL I close the surveys and get my final counts. There has to be an end because at some pooint I need to pack and ship, knowing everything is final ;)

• To review your information or pledge status, you can return to your survey by clicking the link in your survey email or requesting your survey link under "Lost your survey?" on our BackerKit project page at https://the-southern-gothic-oracle.backerkit.com/.

If you used your Facebook credentials to log in to your Kickstarter account, the BackerKit survey is sent to the email address you use for your Facebook account. If you have another email address that you prefer to use, please contact support at https://the-southern-gothic-oracle.backerkit.com/.

Thanks again my lovelies! I can't wait to send you your rewards. Just on Friday, I got a huge shipment of deck boxes, ready to be filled with cards!

Thank you so much, everyone! Because of you this project for the Southern Gothic Oracle is the beginning of great things, and production and logistics are hot-and-heavy around here... So without further ado:

What are surveys?

Kickstarter campaigns last a few weeks, and sometimes backers change addresses, or payment methods... you know, life stuff. So the email survey is just a handful of questions for each of you to answer in order to ensure that we get you your rewards in a correct and timely manner. 

When will the surveys come out?

Okay so, I owe you all a little apology... I sent an update a while back saying the surveys would come out immediately after the completion of the campaign, and that was an error on my part.  Ugh! Sorry. This is my first campaign, and I guess I thought it would happen immediately. However, Kickstarter is a delayed system that only disburses funds to creators after 2 weeks, which means that the surveys will come out probably the week of September 13th, hopefully even sooner.

How will you know?

 Expect to receive your survey via the email you use with Kickstarter. Don't worry if you miss the first one, because the BackerKit folks will send reminders every 2 days or so until you've answered a few simple questions. The deadline to answer will be the end of September.

The best part... Shipping!!!!

Good news for you,  I went ahead and ordered production mid-campaign, and we already have most of the rewards here and ready to ship... no waiting for 3 or 4 months like some other campaigns! Woo! 

Once we have the surveys wrapped and the funds in hand, orders will be shipped in late September, possibly extending into the first week of October.

Where will you find Southern Gothic products after this?

So how am I spending all that Kickstarter money? Investing in the future of this production house. There's an e-commerce website in the works, and I'm researching fulfillment partners etc to be able to bring you more card decks and accessory products in the future.

We are halfway there, y'all! I know you are all checking your mailboxes already, but with Kickstarter campaigns things take a little time. 

Here's what to expect:

At the end of the campaign on August 28, Kickstarter will transfer over the funds so we have the money to make the rewards (this can take up to two weeks).

Second, we have to find out your info, and where we need to ship them. We’ll send out a BackerKit survey to collect this information.

We’ll give you a heads-up before we send the survey so that you can watch for it. You don’t need to create a BackerKit account to answer your survey. The invitation email contains a link to your personal survey. Once you receive that in a couple weeks, please submit your responses ASAP since we need this information to process your rewards.

At that time... If you need to change your survey responses, purchase add-on items, or update your shipping information, you can click the link in your survey email again or request your survey link under "Lost your survey?" on our BackerKit project page. (This page will only start working after we send the surveys out.)

If you prefer, you can contact me directly and give me your information, but answering your survey help us get your rewards out to you faster. BackerKit helps us save lots of time by streamlining the survey process, automating data organization, and providing us with pledge management software to make it easy to process your pledge reward shipments.
